In response to Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s statement that there are no plans to extend the winter break for college or school kids in Punjab, many people in the region are using social media to express their desire for longer winter breaks due to the recent cold weather.

The Higher Education Department (HED) released a recent notification regarding the extension of winter breaks on December 30, 2023. As per the notification, all public and private colleges and universities in Punjab are scheduled to resume classes on January 15, 2024.

It’s very hursh weather in lahore….which is harmful for children. Teachers also going school from 1st January and they are suffering from various problems. Kindly extend holidays till 15th January
Holidays schedule revise hona chaheye instead of 20 December it should be from 5th January every year plz take a look on it

جناب سے گزارش ہے کہ پنجاب میں سموگ کی سنگین صورتحال ہے ، اس کے پیش نظر اساتذہ ، سٹاف کو بھی چھٹی دی جائے اور کالج اور یونیورسٹی کو اک ہفتہ بند کر دیا جائے تو بہتر ہے، یہ ہے تو سخت اور نقصان دہ قدم ۔ لیکن اساتذہ اور سینیئر طلبا بھی انسان ہیں۔ سموگ کی وجہ سے بڑی تکلیف اور ہیماروں کا سامنا کرنا پڑ رہا ہے۔
