FPSC CSS MPT Revised Schedule 2026
Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has revised the MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT) Schedule on 30 August 2026. The MCQs portion of the CSS exam in Pakistan is called the MCQs-based written test or MPT of CSS. This 200-mark exam consists of two papers: General Knowledge & Abilities and Current Affairs. The FPSC announced a tentative schedule for the CSS competitive examination on July 12, 2026. According to this schedule, the receipt of online applications for MPT is from August 12th to August 26th, 2026, and the MPT date was initially set for October 6, 2026. However, the FPSC has changed the CSS MPT date.

FPSC CSS MPT 2026 Revised Schedule Announced
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) issued a notification regarding MPT for CSS 2026 through its website. According to the public notice, the MCQs-Based Preliminary Test for CSS CE-2026 has been rescheduled. The new date for the test is 17th November 2026, instead of 6th October 2026. CSS Competitive Examination Schedule 2026
To qualify for the main written exam, it is mandatory to pass the MPT. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements to appear in the competitive examination of the relevant year. Otherwise, candidates will be rejected, regardless of whether they appeared in the Preliminary Test or passed it. FPSC CSS MPT Syllabus 2026
MPT stands for MCQs Based Preliminary Test, which serves as the screening test before the CSS written examination. The test consists of 200 questions and lasts for 200 minutes. There is no negative marking. The MPT syllabus comprises on the following subjects having total marks:
