Federal Board HSSC Scheme of Studies
Students can find the details of the FBISE Federal Board HSSC scheme of studies on this page. After completing their Matriculation (Grades IX and X), students aged 17 to 19 take the Higher Secondary examination. There are some compulsory and optional subjects in HSSC under the federal board. English, Urdu, Islamic Education, Pakistan culture for foreign students, and Pakistan Studies are compulsory subjects. The total marks of compulsory subjects are 500 and Science group has 600 marks. Students can select any three subjects from humanities group caring 200 marks. As such total marks of HSSC part 1 & 2 are 1100.
Federal Board HSSC Grading Formula
FBISE has decided to transform into a grading system for communicating the results of the HSSC level to discourage a competitive culture based on marks. Initially, the results will be communicated by providing absolute marks, grades, and GPA. Eventually, starting with the Annual Examination in 2025, results will only be communicated using Grades, GPA, and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
